Edward Victor Stemnock, Jr. passed away peacefully at home Sunday, August 28, 2022; he was 86 years old. Born October 30, 1935, Edward was the son of the late Edward and Barbara Stemnock of Rices Landing, PA.

A devoted husband, married for 65 years to Marian (Kochis) Stemnock. The couple lived and raised their family in Hiram, OH for 46 years. Edward traveled the world while enlisted in the United States Air Force in the mid-1950s. Edward enjoyed an illustrious career as Vice President of Top Services, Inc. Known to many happy kids from the 60s and 70s as the Candy Man. Edward’s passions were airplanes and fast cars. He owned a Cessna airplane and had multiple pilot’s licenses. His pride and joy was his Bricklin, a gull-wing 2-seater sports car, that moved like an airplane on the ground.

Edward is survived by his loving wife, Marian; children, John (Nancy) Stemnock, Robert (Lisa) Stemnock, and Bernardine (Robyn) Ward; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Sr. Bernie Marie Stemnock, OSF and Barbara Cvelbar, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Raymond Stemnock, who passed away in 1969, and his daughter, Lisa Bica, who passed away in 2013; brother, Frank Stemnock, and sister, Mary Sabol.

Please join the family for a memorial visitation on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, from 10 A.M. – 11:00 A.M., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 11045 St. Joseph Blvd, Mantua, OH 44255. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at the church at 11:00 A.M., and after, Edward will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, State Route 82, Hiram, OH 44234, with military honors. Care for Edward was entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
