Edward J. Hrobak, 87, of Garrettsville, gained his heavenly reward on Wednesday September 12th 2018. He was born November 3, 1930 in Nelson, Ohio to Mike and Mary (Soltis) Hrobak. Ed married the love of his life, Dorothy Rose (Porada) Hrobak, on July 7, 1956.
Ed (affectionately known as Uncle Eddy to everyone) was a self-employed truck driver for 45 years. He loved to make people laugh. Spending time in his garden and polka dancing with his wife were some of his favorite past times. Ed and Dorothy willingly shared the vegetables from their garden with many people. Uncle Eddy worked as an Associate with Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home for more than 20 years.
He will be deeply missed by his son, Robert, granddaughter Melanie and many nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy, with whom he was blessed to share 59 years of marriage; brothers, Steve, Bill, Albert, Mike and sister Alice Bujalski.
Visitation was held on Saturday September 15, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231. Funeral Service was Sunday September 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Fr. John Burkley officiating. Burial followed in Park Cemetery. Online Condolences at www.carlsonfuneralhomes.com
