Eagles Make Donation

Garrettsville – In September, the Garrettsville Eagles Club F.O.E., donated $2,500 to the National Diabetic Research Center. The funds were generated by the third annual golf outing, co-chaired by Matt Eisenmann and Brian Mullins.
The Fraternal Order of the Eagles Grand Aerie in partnership with the University of Iowa established the Research Center at the University. The University is responsible for the facility while the Grand Aerie pledged the funds for the research.
The winners of the outing were Ben Hawkins, Marci Hawkins, Mac Hawkins and Jimmy Collins.
After the event, the golfers returned to the Eagles Club for a steak dinner and prizes.
Needless to say, the event’s success depended on the work of the large number of volunteers on the course and in the kitchen.
The Club wishes to thank the local merchants and organization for their generous support of this event.
The Eagles Club plans to continue to hold the outing as an annual event in September 2013.
