Dwight “Earl” Knowlton, 79, of Garrettsville, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023. He was born March 22, 1944, in Ravenna, to the late Roger and Alice “Fern” (Yonker) Knowlton.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Earl had a passion for railroading, whether it be modern or traditional. He belonged to a number of clubs that were devoted to railroading. Earl will always be remembered as being a natural tinkerer; one who could make complex toys simply by putting things together.
Earl will be missed by his nephews and nieces, Jeffrey (Jodie) Lawless, Gary Lawless, Scott (Cathy) Miller, Mike Miller, Judy (Dennis) Elwood, and Kathy (Jim) Bailey; many great nephews and nieces, as well as friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Harriett Lawless and Georgia “Alice” Miller, and niece-in-law, Terri Lawless.
