Doris A. (Klose) Dye of Garrettsville

1107

Doris A. (Klose) Dye, age 83 of Garrettsville, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday June 20th, 2023, and went home to be with the Lord. Now absent from the body and no longer with us, but present and rejoicing with the Lord.

Doris was born January 7th, 1940, in Warren, Ohio to Andrew and Edith (Beck) Klose and lived in Nelson, Ohio for more than 70 years. Doris will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 66 years, Hollis Dye, son David (Candy) and son Gary, daughter-in-law Tina, grandchildren Jessica (Sam) Russell, Andrea (Chip) Simera, Tiffany Dye, Sean Dye, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and family. Doris was proceeded in death by her parents, by her siblings Robert Klose, Kathy Schiemann, Blanche Call and with much sorrow by two of her sons Timothy Dye and James Dye.

Doris loved the Lord, her family, working in the yard, planting & attending to her flowers, cooking, and watching cooking shows & golf on TV (even though she didn’t golf). Doris liked country line dancing and her line dancing picture was featured in the 1994 K105 Country Calendar for the month of January. Doris was young at heart, she liked and owned Chevy Camaro’s, liked to play yard games and on many occasions let her granddaughters and great grandchildren talk her into a coaster ride and other daring activities. Every Christmas she enjoyed watching the movie HOME ALONE and laughed as if it was the first time she saw the movie.

Even if you didn’t know Doris personally, you may have recognized her by her warm smile and beautiful hair style. She will forever be in our hearts and memories, until we are able to join her in the presence of the Lord. She is loved & missed dearly!
