Garrettsville – Angels in the Innfield, Sky Lanes and Champion Lanes sponsored several fundraising events to provide Barbara Stauffer of Mineral Ridge with a Labrador Retreiver puppy named Athena Lynn to be trained to become her Diabetic Alert Dog within the next year.
All of the adult leagues at Sky Lanes bought raffle tickets for prizes at the Chinese Auction. The children’ leagues held a Bowl-A-Thon to help her to raise money for the puppy and her training. The groups raised over $1500 and were able to include Athena’s spaying costs.
The person who raised the most sponsors and the highest amount of money was Piper Johannsmeier with almost $500. Maci and Mia Chrisman together raised almost $500. Dominic Kurttman raised $200. Some people complain about todays youth. We need to have faith in them. They will make a difference
