DDC Clinic Center for Special Needs Children, a clinic for children with rare genetic disorders in Middlefield, Ohio, announced today Dr. Vince Cruz will be joining the clinic on July 1, 2021. Dr. Cruz is trained in both Genetics and Internal Medicine. His specialties allow DDC Clinic to move forward with Comprehensive Continuity of Care. Dr. Heng Wang, Medical Director of DDC Clinic stated “Dr. Cruz joining us will allow us to comfortably follow our patients as they age into adulthood.”

“Comprehensive Care” is what DDC Clinic strives to provide to all of their patients – that is, DDC’s goal is to manage in-house as much as possible for affected families from diagnosis to therapies to research into rare disease. Families would otherwise need to travel to many different doctors and facilities to get the same quality and amount of medical services.

Dr. Cruz stated that “I am proud to be joining the team at DDC Clinic! I look forward to extending the already impressively comprehensive care to the adults in the community with special needs and rare genetic disorders. I hope to meet each of your families – you will find me approachable and eager to hear your ideas about how we can better serve your needs. I look forward to this partnership, and the newly expanded scope of our practice!”

DDC Clinic’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for people with special needs caused by rare genetic disorders. Since 2002, comprehensive patient care; state-of-the-art genetic research; and multifaceted education for patient families and the healthcare community have impacted the lives of some 1400 children in Ohio, 35 other states, and 11 countries around the world.
