Cindy passed away on June 7, 2025 at her home.
Cindy was a very well know substitute teacher at Garfield, Crestwood, Windham, Ravenna and St. Joseph’s school in Mantua. She spent many years touching the so many students’ lives. She was stern but her love was unconditional. She was always eager to help grade papers and step in where ever she was needed. Many people requested Cindy because she was the sub they trusted. She spent this year subbing for Ravenna school district. She was always happy to say her calendar was full of sub jobs. She finished her final assignment at Ravenna.
If you really knew Cindy you knew her biggest love was her dog Jessie Anne, who passed away two years ago. She found a new puppy at the APL and named her Cosmos. Cosmos was so lucky to have her as her owner. She often walked her dog four or five times a day. The whole neighborhood in Ravenna knew Cindy and her dogs.
There will be a service on Saturday, June 21 at 11:30 at her chuch, Grace Episcopal Church, 250 W Cedar Avenue, Ravenna, OH 44266. Please come and celebrate the amazing person Cindy was and wear her favorite color — green.
