The Crestwood Lions will be at Monroe’s Orchards from 11am to 5pm on Saturday, October 1st, and Saturday October 8th. We will be holding a plastics drive collecting soft plastic on all 3 days. Plastics accepted are grocery bags, bread bags, bubble wrap, dry cleaning bags, ice bags, plastic shipping envelopes, Ziploc and other food storage bags, cases overwrap, (i.e., water bottle cases), cereal bags, salt bags, plastic wrap and stretch film, wood pellet bags, produce bags. All plastic must be clean, dry, and free of food residue. For every 500 pounds collected, the Crestwood Lions will receive a TREX composite outdoor bench. The bench will be donated to the local community. The Lions Club will also be collecting used eyeglasses and hearing aids that are no longer needed. These will be recycled to individuals who are unable to afford their own. To schedule pick up, contact Lion Harold Ullman at 330-221-0018 or Lion Ed Lupton at 330-931-1722. Just look for our food trailer at Monroe’s.
