Story Time in Mantua

Beginning February 14th, bring your preschool aged child to Story Time every Tuesday, 10:30 – 11:30am. No registration required. No costs. No long term commitment. Time for Tots
2nd Weds of Month
Time for Tots is held the 2nd Wednesday of each month (Sept 14, 2022 – May 10, 2023) from 10 – 11 a.m. at Maplewood Christian Church 7300 State Route 88 in Ravenna. Come experience a safe indoor environment where children ages 2 – 5 can play, craft, enjoy music and burn energy (adults stay for fun, siblings welcome). Parkman 55+ Seniors
First Thursday of Month
Please join area seniors over 55 for a monthly gathering on the first Thursday at the Parkman Community Center at 11:30 am. With the exception of an occasional field trip, the gathering includes a pot luck lunch and socializing and various programs such as entertainment, informational lectures and Bingo. God Provides A Meal

Windham United Methodist church and Nelson United Methodist Church holds their God Provides Meal the last Friday of each month. This month the meal will be On March 31st. The menu will be Shepherd’s Pie, Jello salad, Irish soda bread and brownies. There is no cost to for the meal but donations are accepted. Preregistration is required. Spaghetti Benefit Dinner

On Saturday, April 1, 2023, there will be dinner benefit for the Harris family in Garrettsville who were victims of a brutal attack in their home. It will be held at the Garrettsville Masonic Lodge 8120 Main Street ( above Garrettsville Nutrition ) from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Menu is spaghetti with or without meatballs, garlic bread, salad and beverage. Adults $ 10.00, children 10 & under 5:00. EggFest

On Saturday, April 1, from 11-1pm The Fountain located at 12888 State Route 88, GARRETTSVILLE (North of Rt 305) will be having their EGG FEST!
THIS EVENT IS FREE FOR ALL AGES! There will be themed tables throughout – where your children of all ages walk around and receive Easter candy from each table. (It is like an inside ‘Trunk or Treat’- style day.) When you are finished walking around to the themed tables, each person will receive a hot, bagged ”to go” lunch consisting of a hot dog, chips and drink.
This event has been proven to be lots of FUN for the entire family. Plan now to come!

Easter Bunny Luncheon

The VFW will be holding the annual Easter bunny luncheon on April 1 at 1 PM at the Ravenna VFW post 1055, 6000 New Milford Rd.,Ravenna. The price is five dollars for adults three dollars for children. That includes your lunch, goodie bags for the children, who will have raffle baskets and opportunity to have their picture taken with the Easter bunny.

Kids, friends & family are invited for food, crafts, an Easter photo booth and a massive easter egg hunt of 5,000 eggs for kids of all ages! Easter Egg Hunt event hosted by New Adventures Child Center, in partnership with Boy Scout Troop #575 and #7575, and the Hiram Kiwanis Club. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place on April 8 from 10 am to 12 pm at 11741 Mantua Center Road, Mantua, Ohio 44255. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be games, face painting, a bounce house, and other fun activities for children and families to enjoy.

Harvest Point Church Food Pantry

Harvest Point Church Food Pantry, located at 2121 Salt Springs Rd., Lordstown, OH 44481, will hold their next distribution on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. This is a drive-up distribution and no ID is required. Simply complete a form providing your name, address, and dates of birth for family members residing in your home. This distribution contains primarily canned goods/dry goods and, on occasion, special items.
