Child Advocates Needed For Spring 2013 Training Class

Geauga County – CASA for KIDS of Geauga County (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is  recruiting volunteers to advocate for the “best Interest” of abused and neglected children involved in the juvenile court. No particular background is required, but you must be at least 25 years of age and have no criminal record. Couples may work together. Diversity of age, gender, ethnicity etc. is welcomed. Professional CASA staff provides 32 hours of pre-service training.  Supervision and continuing education is also provided after appointment by the Juvenile Court to serve as the Guardian ad Litem.  More volunteers are needed to ensure every child has a voice in court. Note: An application and interview must be completed PRIOR to training.
