Charles Simpson

Charles “Mark” Simpson, 64, of Hiram Twp., OH, went home to his Lord and Savior Sunday, July 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 19, 1960, in Ravenna, OH, to the late Vandell and Norma (nee Carroll) Simpson.

He was a 1978 Crestwood High School graduate, which is where he attended school with his wife, who was at that time Sandra McCoy. They reconnected through friends and were married in 2000. Mark worked at Harrison Machine in Garrettsville before retirement, and was blessed to have worked there for over 46 years. He was a man who treasured his family, and if you were his friend, you were a part of his family. Mark was a homebody, but welcomed all of his family to his home; the door was always open. He enjoyed nature and all activities that came along with it, including fishing and hunting. Mark was a welcoming beacon with a perpetual smile on his face. Strangers became instant friends, and then part of his family. All who was blessed to know Mark will always miss his kindness, humor, and love that he always exuded.

Mark will be deeply missed by his wife, Sandra Simpson; daughters, Elizabeth Jett and Stephanie Rodhe; grandchildren, Meilee (Emmett McCarthy) Holton, Riley White, Joey Jett, IV, and Karter Keffer; great grandchildren, Kenedii, Kylee, Easton, and Everleigh; siblings, Vicki (Gil) Krohn and Van (Patty) Simpson, as well as many extended family members and dear, dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Diane Sparacio.

Please join the family for a memorial visitation Saturday, July 20, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A memorial service will begin at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Mark will then be lovingly laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Hiram, OH, where he will be reunited with his parents.
