Charles Auto Drives into the 21st Century

Garrettsville – The Charles Auto Family has been a Garrettsville institution for 56 years. Now, “The Little Guy for the Best Buy” is getting a major facelift that promises to transform the Chevy/Buick dealership from a traditional small-town establishment to a “sophisticated, 21st-century, world-class dealership,” according to owner Bruce Abraham.P6051000Bruce’s father, Charlie Abraham, moved his dealership to this current location at 10851 North Street back in 1965. While it’s been subject to a few expansions and new coats of paint since then, it hasn’t undergone a substantial renovation until now. New updates will make the dealership as technologically advanced as the latest car models it sells.

While consistently ranked number one for customer satisfaction in both sales and service departments, Charles Auto is catching up to be competitive in the areas of technology and creature comforts, as well.

A bigger, bolder facade is being installed above the showroom. New energy-efficient windows will surround the building. Handicap accessibility is being improved. The customer service waiting room will feature a free WI-FI refreshment area for people to relax in while waiting during maintenance/repair appointments. Phone and internet infrastructure is being updated to provide improved compatibility with automotive hands-free phone and navigation systems.

“We have become a technology-based society,“ Abraham commented. “Now our show room will be a place where we can show people different automotive features through their smartphones. Or we can guide customers through the steps to receive their mobile calls through their car radio instead of taking their hands off the wheel to answer a call. It’s fun to watch the changes here at the dealership over the past 50-some years.”

The dealership will maintain regular operating hours throughout the renovation process. Abraham expects the new show room to be complete by the end of July and the service department to be finished by September 1. Keep your eyes open for Grand Re-Opening at Charles Auto sometime around September 1.
