Portage County District Library (PCDL) announces that all branch locations are now providing library service with newly-expanded operating hours. Effective immediately, the new branch hours are as follows:
Aurora Memorial and Pierce Streetsboro Branches, Monday and Tuesday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm; Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm; Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; and Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Garrettsville Branch’s new hours are Monday through Thursday, open 9:00 am to 7:00 pm; Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; and Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. While the Windham Branch, located within the Renaissance Family Center, is now open Monday through Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; and Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Finally, the Randolph Branch’s new hours are Monday and Tuesday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm; Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; and Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
In addition to the changes in PCDL’s service hours, The Library Box’s inventory has been revamped to include the same title of DVD or book in each row. Therefore, the checking out of multiple items to get to your preferred item is now no longer required. What you see at the front of each row is the title you will get using your valid Portage County library card. Located inside the NEW Center on the NEOMED campus, The Library Box is a vending-style library material dispensary- a lending machine, if you will.
PCDL is one of three public library systems located within Portage County. PCDL branch locations include Aurora Memorial, Garrettsville, Pierce Streetsboro, Randolph, and Windham (located inside the Renaissance Family Center). Outreach Services provides delivery to those physically unable to make it to a branch; to assisted-living facilities and nursing homes; to remote Library Express locker box units; and services The Library Box, a lending machine located on the NEO-MED campus, inside the NEW Center.
