1176

The People Tree Holiday Program for 2023 is here, and it’s bringing the spirit of giving to our community. The program is designed to provide assistance to families in need during the holiday season, and there are several exciting events and opportunities for the public to get involved.

Join the Festivities

  • Ladies Night Out at Slim and Jumbo’s: The season begins with a delightful Ladies Night Out at Slim and Jumbo’s on Thursday, November 9th, from 6 to 8:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend this fun-filled evening.
  • Toy Drive at the Garrettsville Eagles #2705: On Wednesday, November 22nd, from 5 to 7 pm, there will be a Toy Drive at the Garrettsville Eagles #2705. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the program and spread joy to local children.
  • Toy Drive at DayStar Ford: Join the community at DayStar Ford on December 2nd, from 10 am to 2 pm, for another Toy Drive event.
  • “Adopt a Kid” Gifts: Don’t forget to return all “adopt a kid” gifts by December 4th to ensure they reach those in need.

People Tree recognizes that the holiday season can be a challenging time for some families. The program is dedicated to providing Christmas gifts for children aged 14 and younger who reside in the JAG School system and the Windham School system, particularly those who are not being served by other charitable groups. Additionally, the program offers assistance with holiday food for those who would like to sign up.

To ensure your child and family receive the support they need, a participation form must be completed and returned by November 16th, 2023. You can request the form by sending a message to garrettsvillepeopletree@gmail.com, either to receive it via email or to have a printed copy mailed to your address. Families receiving gifts for children will also receive assistance with holiday food. Families without children can sign up for food assistance only.

Stay updated and connected with the program by liking the “Garrettsville People Tree Sharing Program” on Facebook, where you can receive regular updates and news.
