Scary Make-Up Tutorial – Learn how to apply your own scary make-up, just in time for the spooky season! A release form to apply make-up must be signed by child’s guardian before program. Therapy Dog Program – Practice your reading skills on cute, furry therapy dogs! Brought to you by Paws for Reading. Grades K-5. Saturday: Oct. 26, 11 a.m.

Burton art show Gallery – Oct. 1-13 – The 36th Annual Burton Art Show features the work of artists from Geauga, Lake, and Portage Counties. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite art piece for the Popular Choice Award. Open to the public. See website for viewing hours.
3D printing adult beginner 101 – Mon., Oct. 7, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Learn basic 3D design skills in the online app Tinkercad, then design your own keychain and have it printed. Must have basic mouse and keyboard skills. Registration required.
BYOC—bring your own craft – Thursday Oct 10, 6-7:30 p.m. Give yourself that excuse to work on a craft you’ve been putting off. Bring your own supplies and join together with friends and friends-to-be in the Merritt Room downstairs. No registration.
Yoga – Oct. 21 & 31, 6:30-7:45 p.m. Taught by Mary Ann Sedivy. Mary Ann follows the Gaelic “Cara” Yoga principle which allows you to find many soul friends and to recognize your own inner light and beauty. Cost is $5 per class, payable to the instructor. Please bring a mat. No registration.
“Abandoned Cleveland” – author visit with Jeffrey Stroup – Wed., Oct. 16, 6:30 p.m. Come meet the author Jeffrey Stroup and learn about his adventures while photographing abandoned areas of Cleveland. No registration.
Portals in time – Tues., Oct. 22, 6:30 p.m. Spend an evening with local storyteller Nicholas Fischbach as he tells histories, mysteries, ghost stories and legends of Geauga County and the state of Ohio. No registration.
U. S. passport fair – Sat., Oct. 26, 10-1 p.m. The Geauga Clerk of Courts will provide one-stop shopping to complete necessary forms, certify and send them for you. Photos available for $10.
