Bruce L. Corey, 66, of Burton Twp., OH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 23, 1958, in Ravenna, OH, to the late James L. Corey and Margaret (nee Goodsell) Miller. He was raised by his loving mother and stepfather, Howard “Howdy” Miller.  

He grew up in Nelson, OH, where he developed his love of the outdoors. Bruce enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating. The thing he loved the most was spending time with family and friends at his beloved home, built by his grandfather, Dale Corey.  

Bruce will forever be missed by the love of his life, Jan (nee Ober) Corey, with whom he was blessed to share over 45 years of marriage. He also leaves behind his children, Ryan (Lindsay) Corey, Whitney (Derek) Podboy, Adam (Rita) Corey, Alex Corey, and bonus daughter, Mary Ellen (Ryan) Bender; grandchildren, Joshua, Madalyn, Melody, Emily, Michael, Austin, Myla, Kylen, Kristen, Karleen, Dawson, Hunter, and Cameron; siblings, Theresa (nee Corey) Bishop (Teryl), and Brenda (nee Corey) Casseday (Kyle), Scott (Tina) Miller, Jeffrey (Phyllis) Miller, and many other dear family members and friends.   

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Todd Miller, Russell Miller, and Robert Miller. 

Please join the family for visitation on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A service will be held at the funeral home Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Bruce will then be lovingly laid to rest near his parents, grandparents, and brothers at Harrington Cemetery, in Nelson Twp., OH.
