Between a rock and a hard place!

How, How, How is a person supposed to manage to learn to use these devices if all of the instructions assume that you already KNOW all of the technical directions and language and are able to follow them.

Here I am back in familiar surroundings — between a rock and a hard place.  Brand-new equipment is no assurance of competence or even capability.  Certainly not of connection.  Right now thez only message which I can get is one saying that I cannot connect.  The internet is out there (Boy is it “out there”) somewhere but the only connection that I can get is one – two, actually — saying that I have “privacy errors.”

Well, that may be somthing to do with leaving the shades up, but not something which I am, apparantly, able to correct online… not so far, anyhow.

My latest attempt is to write up something, attempt to have it printed out, then run it up to The Villager, slide it through the mail slot during my regular morning walk, then see if it actually appears.  Presto! …. or not. Until some computer guru can figure out why my system has gone off — and make it possible for me to at least vaguely understand how I can get the thing back on line, so to speak, I may as well be dealing with the Pony Express.

I like horses anyway….
