Becky
Moser, 71, passed away on October 16, 2018. Born on March 22, 1947, in
Painesville, Ohio, to David and Charlene Hill, Becky grew up on Fairport
Harbor beach surrounded by family and friends.
She proudly
attended The Ohio State University. In fact, in 1998, Becky was spotted
rushing the field after a victory over TTUN in the ‘Shoe’. Becky married
Craig, the love of her life, became an Army wife during Vietnam, and
eventually settled in Garrettsville, Ohio. There she raised two sons and
later became the middle school secretary. That post allowed her to be a
surrogate mother to years’ worth of students and staff, which she
thoroughly enjoyed. Those who knew her well, knew it was best not to
talk with her until she had enjoyed her morning coffee and finished the
crossword puzzle (in pen). Known as Mumma to her grandchildren, Becky
was an avid reader, knitter and baker, who occasionally enjoyed setting
taco shells on fire and buying inappropriate romance novels for her
daughters-in law. She dearly loved her family and friends, and they,
her.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Craig, and her son, Eric. She is survived by her son, Christopher, her daughters-in law, Anna and Maureen, her grandchildren Katherine, Julia, Gregory, Abigail, Henry, Mary and Paul, her sister, Sara and her brother, Scott.
Please
join Becky’s family for visitation on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 11
AM – 1:00 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation
Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. A memorial service
to follow at 1 PM with Dr. Michael E. Carlson officiating.
In
lieu of flowers, donations in Becky’s memory should be sent to the James
A. Garfield Local School District Craig Moser Scholarship.
