Audley V. Zuver,III, 70 years of age, passed away unexpectedly Saturday October 10, 2020. Born in Warren, Ohio on June 4, 1950, he was the son of the late Brownlee and Gladys (Brewster) Zuver. A lifetime area resident, he graduated in 1968 from Crestwood High School, following which he attended and graduated in 1972 from Ohio University with a degree in Business Management.
Audley then joined his father in the operation of Zuver Contracting Corporation and at the passing of his father, Audley continued the family business of which he presently was President. He also was employed as a part time milk truck driver for Ravenna Transport. A member of the Hiram Christian Church, and former church trustee, Audley also was a longtime member, and former President of the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary Club where he gave freely of his time in numerous community projects. Gardening, tinkering with anything mechanical were some of his enjoyments. But if you knew Audley, being with his many friends, sharing stories and special times, and his ever-so-wide and inviting smile were the “real trademarks” that he will always be remembered for.
On October 10, 2013, he married Gail (Horning) Hazard-Zuver who survives at their home. Also surviving are his daughters Meghan (Sean Pfeiffer) Zuver of Boston, Mass. and Stacie (Michael) Schultz of Hamlin, Minn.; his sister Karen Zuver of Windham; nephews Eric, Chad, Paul and Matt, and niece Barrie. He was preceded in death in 2009 by his brother Lee Zuver. No calling hours or services at this time due to COVID 19 restrictions. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Final resting place will be at Fairview Cemetery, Hiram, Ohio.
