On Sunday, January 8, 2023, Arthur “Allan” Hall, loving husband of Jeannette Hall, passed away at the age of 95. He was born on January 8, 1928, on his family’s farm in Garrettsville, to the late Arthur J. and Elida (nee Johnson) Hall.
He grew up in the town of Garrettsville on his family’s farm. Allan was an avid genealogist and traced his family line all the way back to the pilgrims who sailed on the Mayflower in 1620. When Allan’s wife, Ruth, passed away, he was reacquainted with his high school sweetheart, Jeanette.
Allan will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Jeanette; son, Norman Hall; Jeannette’s 4 sons; several grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ruth Hall; sons, Arthur C. Hall and Stephen D. Hall, and siblings, Robert Hall and Lois Mae Allen.
The family invited friends to honor Allan’s life for a visitation on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service followed at the funeral home at 12:00 P.M., with the Rev. Richard Thewlis officiating.
