Geauga County – Enjoy the beauty of a Geauga County autumn as you participate in Geauga County Tourism’s Annual Fall Scavenger Hunt August 29 through September 29.This fun activity leads you to explore ten locations within the county to answer questions on a Scavenger Hunt sheet. The “hunt” is great fun for all ages and can be done in one day, or over several days. All of the locations are local businesses with various hours, so it’s best to check hours before planning your route.  The questions can be answered by simply visiting each stop and enjoying some of our great small businesses.

All participating stops are marked with a Tour Stop sign and also have copies of the questionnaire available. Stops include: Antiques on the Square, Auburn Pointe Greenhouse, Burton Log Cabin, Carriage Trade Boutique, Century Village, Geauga Country Meats, Geauga Park District’s Observatory Park, Sages Apples, West Geauga Plaza, and Yoder’s Coleman. Questionnaires are also available at the Geauga County Tourism office, 14907 North State Ave. Middlefield, by calling 440-632-1538 or on the website www.TourGeauga.com.

Completed sheets must be received by September 29th, either by mail to the Geauga County Tourism Office or you may choose to attend the Annual Hometown Hoe-Down on Sept. 29th at Middlefield Market. All entries with 10 correct answers will be put into a drawing for an amazing Geauga County Basket valued at over $200, and including an overnight to Punderson Manor Lodge. As an additional chance to win a prize, Hoe-Down participants will receive 20 free Chinese  auction tickets! Anyone interested in more information, or to purchase tickets for the Hoe-Down please call 440-632-1538.
