Alvin R. Pridemore, 64, of Garrettsville, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019, with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 20, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan to Carl and Virginia (Hiebert) Pridemore.
He was a Garrettsville resident for most of his life. Alvin started his career as a certified welder at Stock Equipment. He later opened his own chassis/race shop called “The Engine Clinic” in the late 1980’s. Alvin was known for his talent with race engines and fabricating skills. He will forever be remembered for his love of Drag Racing and Hot Rods.
Alvin will be deeply missed by his children, Rachel Kerkhoven and Jason Pridemore; his loving granddaughter, Carley Kerkhoven, who adored her PaPa; siblings, Kenny (Marilyn) Pridemore, Wayne (Pam) Pridemore, Linda Watson, Peg Kettler and Kathy (Frank) Probst.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Pridemore; brother-in-law, Dan Kettler and nephew, Mark Kettler.
