Allan B. “Al” Cooley, 79, of Garrettsville, peacefully passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024. He was born April 16, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Alladin B. and Mildred (Christiansen) Cooley.
He was born and raised in Brooklyn, graduating from Ft. Hamilton High School. Al was proud to work at Lifschultz Fast Freight as a terminal manager, USF Distribution as a dock supervisor, and in his retirement, he worked for Carlson Funeral Home as an associate. Al enjoyed wood working and working on cars.
Al will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Carolyn (Castaneda) Cooley, who was blessed to share over 54 years of marriage. Children: Christopher and DeAnna (Kadlowec) Cooley, Barbara (Cooley) Malgiolio, Dina Cooley, and Mark Zarragoitia; 7 grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Carol (Cooley) Billigmeier and Nancy (Cooley) DeVito.
