A Time to Pray

GARRETTSVILLE – “We’re going to do all we can to rebuild this Main Street block, restore its businesses, and revive this community,” says Mike Maschek of Maschek Construction, owner of the historic Buckeye Block Building which housed eight of the 14 businesses affected by the Garrettsville fire of March 22.

“The best way I can think of to bring the community together for this revival and restoration would be to pray together.”

Maschek encourages Mayor Rick Patrick, local church leaders, business owners, village administrators and concerned citizens to gather in the rear parking lot of the burned-out block from Center to High Streets starting at 6:30pm Friday, April 11 to join in prayer together.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who labor, labor in vain,”Maschek says. “His ways are higher than our ways and His timing is best, so we want Him in the center of our rebuilding plans and efforts. We need to put buildings up to bring the businesses back home. And we need funding to make that a reality. We need a miracle.”
