Portage County Job and Family Services is announcing the Renew Tech 2.0 Program. This program aims to reduce e-waste in the county office by offering equipment no longer being used by the agency to eligible Portage County residents.
Beginning March 3, the Renew Tech 2.0 Program will accept applications to distribute office equipment including desktop computers, monitors, and speakers. The equipment will be offered “as is” with no warranty or service contracts to families and/or individuals that need equipment and meet the Program eligibility criteria. The equipment will be given free-of-charge, but recipients are responsible for any costs that may be incurred with the equipment after taking possession of it. Equipment will be handed out, while supplies last, to those who meet program eligibility requirements.
To be eligible to receive Renew Tech 2.0 Program equipment, applicants must reside in Portage County, complete the Renew Tech 2.0 Program application, and provide a statement and/or verification of need.
