While the benefits of green infrastructure are easy to see, the logistics of their design, installation, maintenance, and cost might be daunting. Join Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District to learn more about incorporating green infrastructure for long-term performance & resilience. “Using Green Infrastructure to Retain the Rain!” will be held on Wednesday, March 12th from 9:00 am – noon at the Geauga County Office Building ~ Room A334 (12611 Ravenwood Drive, Chardon, 44024).  Resource professionals will provide practical tips, considerations, and lessons learned from real-world projects. Gain valuable training on design and maintenance considerations to optimize success, alleviate climate impacts, and elevate your projects!  Open to anyone involved or interested in the planning, design, and maintenance of green infrastructure. Certificates of attendance will be provided.

Featured speakers include Justin Reinhart, PE – Stormwater Engineer, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency; Brian Prunty, CPSWQ – District Administrator, Summit Soil & Water Conservation District; and Paul Kovalcik – Supervisor of Stormwater Inspection & Maintenance, Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District
