The Crestwood Scarlet Guard has reason to celebrate after earning a Superior Rating and qualifying for the OMEA State Marching Band Finals on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Their captivating 2024 competition show, *IMMORTAL*, left both judges and the audience thoroughly impressed, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication.

The band’s outstanding performance earned them not only the Best Auxiliary (Colorguard) award in Class A but also 2nd Place in their class. The show features solo performances from Destiny Verbic (Guard), Zak Knipper (Tuba), Thea Kasper, Brady Major (Euphonium), Emma Lyons (Flute), Elizabeth Zoller (Clarinet), Lauren Hawley (Guard), Hannah Barton, Ethan Bainey, and Doug Sipes (Trumpet), each adding their unique flair to the overall spectacle.

The band is under the leadership of Angela Adkins, with assistance from John Fitch and Micheala Brugmann. The Crestwood Scarlet Guard is excited for the potential this season with this fine group. The band next took to Columbus on September 21, 2024, to compete in the Bands of America Regional Championships. Ask them how they did! Additionally, they will be performing at the Revere, Copley, and Brunswick OMEA events this fall season.

The Crestwood Bands extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Crestwood Local Schools, Administration Team, and the Crestwood Band Boosters, led by Co-Presidents Carla Sindelar and Brian Hanzlik, for their unwavering support. Your enthusiasm and encouragement play a vital role in the support of all the students.
