951

The Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary Club met on July 12 at noon at Cal’s II in Sky Plaza. The next meeting is scheduled for Aug. 26 at the Crawford residence.

During the meeting, members discussed the scheduling of the ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony for the Tom Collins Memorial Rotary Walking Trail. The event will be held on Oct. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. and is open to the community.

Members also noted that some checks from the recent golf outing are still outstanding, and the project needs to be closed out for reporting to the grants committee. Additionally, the finishing details of the mural project are still being finalized.

Regarding membership, it was decided that members who have not attended meetings for a year or more will not be invoiced, effectively dropping their membership. Authorized signatures for checks have also been updated.

During the “Happy Bucks” segment, members expressed gratitude for a variety of reasons, including the arrival of a new grandson, the return of power, time spent with children, a grandson’s new beginning, a daughter returning to college, a son’s business trip, a timely health notification, and good health overall.
