Garrettsville Hiram Rotary Report

700

Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary, meeting in their new location in the Hiram College Dining Hall, eyed their schedule for the coming season…it’s going to be busy.
New member Merlynn Jones and visitor –though not an unknown—John Zimmerman were introduced and gave brief bios and remarks.
First up on October 15 will be the speakers  from the RYLA program this past summer who will recount their experiences and future plans.  Also at this time there may be another update  on exchange student Jessica Lyons, possibly from her parents, possibly “live and in person”  on the internet via Skype.  This meeting will be held in the Brown-Fall Room in the Kennedy Center at 6:30.
Tom Collins reported the addition of local Boy Scouts to the workforce for the approaching roadside clean-up between Garrettsville and Hiram on State Route 82
The  District 6630 Governor’s meeting will be held on October 22; more discussion is in store for the Governor’s Project and the corporate membership options.
The plans for the Reverse Raffle and Silent Auction are ready to leave the station.  Get on board!
