Ravenna – The Ohio State Extension Office in Portage County is set to host their annual Master Gardener Training class starting August 31st, 2022. Classes this year are typically every Wednesday morning from 9AM-12:30PM Aug 31st through November 2nd 2022 with a few exceptions. A full schedule of the class and more information can be found at https://go.osu.edu/2022portagemgv.

If you love gardening, learning about horticulture and have a passion to volunteer in your community to help provide research un-bias information to help better the lives of our local community members please consider joining our Portage County Master Gardener Volunteer (MGV) Program.

Volunteers are not required to have gardening skills but having a passion to learn more about gardening and horticulture and sharing it with others is a must. The Portage County MGVs have several on-going community projects but current and new members are always encouraged to think outside the box to create or start additional projects within Portage County communities.

If you have any questions please reach out to Angie Arnold, Arnold.1143@osu.edu or call the Portage County extension Office at 330-296-6432.
