Trumbull Courts offer free program “The Parent Project”

2907

Judges Sandra Stabile Harwood and Samuel Bluedorn are pleased to announce the Trumbull County Family Court will begin offering The Parent Project Program to parents in the community. Judge Harwood said, “We want to open up this program to parents in the community with the hopes that their children will never have to come in contact with juvenile justice system.” Parents participating in the program are known to experience a strengthened family unit, improved school attendance, improved coping skills, and many other benefits. The proven curriculum is aimed to help parents acquire the tools to change destructive adolescent behavior. The Parent Project program will be held virtually and is a safe, supportive environment aimed at empowering parents. Administrative Judge Sandra Stabile Harwood and Judge Samuel F. Bluedorn of the Family Court have collaborated with Cadence Care Network to facilitate the 10-week program at no cost to participants thanks to funding from the Ohio Reclaim Grant. For more information and registration, parents can contact Renae Hoso of the Trumbull County Family Court at 330-675-2606.
