Time marches on! And so does the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary Club, in-person and via Zoom at Cal’s II, Sky Plaza, Garrettsville, high noon.
The treasurer’s report led to extensive discussion of continuing financial issues involving the current pandemic and its effects on fund-raising. The Snack Pack program continues as a function of the district grant. The Reverse Raffle will likely be subject to re-formulation and re-consideration as a revenue source. The possibility was broached of expanding the involvement and appreciation of sponsors, with new offerings and new approaches to presenting an opportunity to donate and to be acknowledged as community supporters across a spectrum of activities. Planning meetings coming up; Zoom will figure into this scenario, no doubt.

Speaking of which…the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary is something of a district pioneer in using technology to continue meeting responsibly and contributing to the community by getting things done.

Happy Bucks were anted up for fine Father’s Day gatherings, lovely weather, a First Communion and progress in planning.
It’s all good.
