Mantua – New Adventures Early Learning Center is newly expanding its location at Timber Point Trail in Mantua. The Center currently serve 90 families at their Mantua location, with an average of 85 kids per day. But once the 7,000 square foot expansion project is complete, the Center’s capacity will be more than doubled, with space for up to 200 children at this location. In addition to the Mantua facility, which has been open since 2015 at the former Tiger Tots location, New Adventures other facility in Twinsburg has been in operation since 2007.
The 100-foot-long addition will provide much-needed space for new classrooms for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, as well as space for an indoor gym and outdoor playground. “But the kids are most excited for the new playground,” shared New Adventures Marketing Coordinator Terry Dillinger. The former playground was removed to make room for the expansion, but a new playground will be installed in a new location once construction is complete. In spite of the unpredictable fall weather, construction has been moving forward; project completion is expected by February 1st.
At New Adventures, children are placed in classes according to age and ability. Classes include infants & wobblers, toddlers, preschool, and school-age kids — with weekly lesson plans that are age-appropriate and based on children’s’ interests and likes. For example, in the toddler classrooms, a major focus is placed on potty training. Preschool aged-children have their own cubbies, begin to recognize their names on their chairs, and work on kindergarten readiness according to standards at the Aurora, Crestwood, and J.A. Garfield School Districts. School-aged kids are offered breakfast before departing for school, and received a snack when arriving after school, with time for homework and free time to play afterward.
Megan Loske, the Center’s director, shared that the children at New Adventures are nurtured through the Creative Curriculmn® enrichment program. Lesson plans include literacy experiences, dramatic play, art, cooking, and computers, as well as time with toys & games, and indoor and outdoor playtime. New Adventures Learning Center is a Four-Star Step Up to Quality school, as rated by the State of Ohio. For detailed daily schedule by age, visit the Center’s website at naearlylearning.com.
While the expansion will double the size of the Mantua facility, it will also enable the Center to provide scaled-down classrooms with more smaller class sizes to allow for a better age breakdown per class. The new space will also house an indoor gym for use when the weather won’t allow for outdoor play.
New Adventures currently has a awaiting list, but with the new expansion, spots will be opening soon. For more information, visit them online at naearlylearning.com, on Facebook, or call (330) 274-8514 to schedule at tour.
