Daniel Eugene Miller, 75 of Freedom Township passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. He was born February 12, 1940 in Bainbridge, Ohio to the late William Jennings Bryan Miller, Sr. and Elizabeth J. (Helmuth) Miller. Dan served in the Air Force from 1957 – 1976. He was stationed in Vietnam, French Morocco, Thailand, Germany, Panama and several locations in the United States. He was a researcher of antique tools.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Vera (Evans) Sweda Miller who he married in 1998. His 3 children, Robin Lynn (Miller) Borner Woolf of Salem, Ohio, David Paul Miller of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Kimberly Ann (Miller) Peters Frederick of Conway, South Carolina. His sisters, Susan Jane (Miller) Byler Garner of Edgewood, Maryland, Mary Louise (Miller) Small Hurley of Auburn, Ohio, and his brother, Ralph Edison Miller of Auburn, Ohio. His 5 grandchildren Mark Anthony Peters of Conway, South Carolina, Theresa Elizabeth Borner Bardo of Salem, Ohio, Benjamin Michael Miller Frederick of Conway, South Carolina, Matthew Michael Borner of Salem, Ohio, and Grace Elizabeth Miller of Harrisonburg, Virginia. One great grandchild, Eli Robert Bardo of Salem, Ohio, 9 nieces, and 3 nephews, and 12 great nieces, 7 great nephews and many other relatives. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, William Jennings Bryan Miller Jr.
Calling hours were held from 11:00 AM till time of the service at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 2, 2015 at Russell – Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, OH 44062.
