Are you ready to relive the 1980s? The time of skinny ties, big framed glasses and huge shoulder pads! Get those finger-less gloves and leg warmers ready people because it’s time to party! Let’s Dance! This second annual dance party has so much to offer those who have tickets. They are expecting to sell out and once they do that’s it. Pre-sale tickets are a steal of a deal at $25 and $30 at the door. Ticket will include food and awesome entertainment. The first 250 people through the door get a swag bag!
There will be a cash bar at The Big Dog Saloon where the party is being hosted on Saturday, June 22nd and doors open at 5pm. Pre-sale and Wagon of Cheer tickets can be purchased all over town at local businesses: Big Dog, Tavern 1888, Ravenna Chamber, War Horse Tattoo, I’m Power, Reincarnation America, Bean and the Baker, Print and Sign Express, Cimmaron Lounge and West Main Street Winery.
These phenomenal tickets include live music starting at 6pm with the band ‘Allegiance’. Their Facebook page states they perform a mix of Country, Rock and Blues. “We’re here to bring the fun and love of live music to the community. Join us on our journey.”
Then starting at 9pm ‘That 80s Band’ is set to finish rocking the night away with covers from such artists as The Eurhythmics, Wang Chung, Tears for Fears, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson, Prince and Def Leppard, just to name a few. So get ready to hop in the DeLorean with Marty McFly and take a trip back to the future, or should I say, past!
Best of all is a chance for one lucky party-goer to win “The Wagon of Cheer,” which is the brainchild of Ginger and Mike Boyd owners of the new furniture repurposing store in Ravenna called ‘Reincarnation America.’ Literally a red wagon that has been fashioned by Mike and Ginger into a bar cart and donated to raise money at the party and its full of bottles of liquor for the winner to enjoy. Tickets are $10 each or three for $25. What a great investment you get a piece of decor hand made by a local business and your own party supplies for the Summer!
Sponsors for the event are still being accepted. For $150 you get your business logo on a 6 ft. banner to be put on display at the Big Dog Saloon and will remain up as advertising for a week. Then $500 sponsors will get their banner with logo hung on the performance stage the night of the dance.
