Community enhancement was the keynote of the December 6, 2021 meeting of the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary club.

First off was the discussion of the new bike racks (one is in Tom Collins’ driveway) to be arriving soon and to be installed by the village maintenance in both Garrettsville and Hiram.

Second was the Santa Claus Project, wherein residents interested in having St. Nick deliver Christmas presents on Christmas Eve eve (December 23) to their homes can arrange this by dropping off the packages to be delivered at either McCumbers-Brady Realty or Business Works (Do this ASAP.  Gotta give the elves time to determine the reindeer routes).  Elves are being recruited for this fun trip. Some families have been doing this for years. Neat tradition! Third is the creation of a PHOTO OP in town, at the gazebo over by the Boardwalk. Should include a tree in the center, swags of greenery, lights & tinsel–all the features of home…but BIG! Your Christmas pix can have a brand-new background this year, with room for the whole crowd. Should be going up soon.  Be sure to check it out.

And, finally, the annual Christmas party will be held on Monday, December 13, featuring White Elephant gifts and member contributions to the feast.

Ho, Ho, Ho !!!
