The Twentieth Century Club of Garrettsville met on February 6, 2025 in the  meeting space at the Covenant Bible Fellowship Church on High St. to settle back-ordered discussions on revisions to the constitution and by-laws, select nominating committee members and seek recommendations for a venue for the Spring Party…all in good time.

Roll call was answered by airing personal stressors in any season–inhumanity to man, care for parents, shopping, FB, cats, school closings, weather, intrepid husbands, late entrances, online requirements, ice, driving, winter gloom–just about anything.

All of which were perfectly suited for attention to the program for the evening, which was presented by Jan Bloem, yoga practitioner/instructor/enthusiast from the Garrettsville Family YMCA.  Everyone in attendance was offered a shot of lavender & peppermint, encouraging stress relief and flexibility as an introduction to mindfulness, which is a key focus of the practice of yoga at all levels.  The presenter clearly embodied the saying that, “If you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life.”  She invited all to be part of the yoga offerings at the

G-Ville Y and to make their lives less stressful, more attuned to “Namaste. “

Refreshments, courtesy of Karen Miller and Katy Watson, were light and seasonal and tasty.
