The ninth annual Sportsmen’s Dinner will be held Jan. 30 at Portage Community Chapel, 6490 S.R. 14, Ravenna. This year’s event will be a hybrid event—both an in-person and virtual experience. We want everyone to experience the event in a way that works best for them.
This event, for anyone who loves the outdoors, is an evening full fun with raffles of firearms and sporting equipment, a nationally-known guest speaker, door prizes for adults and children 12-17 and basket raffles.
All proceeds will be given to The Haven of Portage County, an outreach center that seeks to help the homeless and trafficked. Last year, more than $15,000 was raised and it is hoped that amount will be topped this year.
The guest speaker this year is Wes Delks, General Manager of Real World Wildlife Products. Wes has worked with a few landowners to write property management plans specifically for growing and holding big whitetails.
