Windham Free Community Dinner
A free community dinner will be served Sept 13, at the Brick Chapel, 9003 N. Main St. Windham. It will feature “Chicken Suzzane.” The dinner will be served from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., while supply lasts. All are welcome, bring your friends. The dinner is provided by the Congregational UCC of Windham. They are providing free dinners on the second Thursday of each month. There is a ramp access at the front of the building. No carry-outs. Everyone is invited to spend an hour or spend the day on Sept 15th creating memories with family and friends getting back to basics with some kite flying! Members of the O.S.E.K. (Ohio Society for the Elevation of Kites) will be at Overlook Park, St. Rt. 168, Parkman from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.with their specialty kites and a Make It-Take It workshop for the kids. Parkman Boy Scout Troop 76 will have refreshments for sale throughout the day. We’ll have sprint races for all ages, a patriotic fly at noon and our DJ will be there with some fun tunes for all to enjoy.

The Marching Pride will be taking the show on the road over the next few weeks. The next show is September 15 when the Pride will attend the University of Akron Band Day where the Pride will march with Akron Zips band at halftime. The Cleveland Chapter of the Carpatho-Rusyn Society is sponsoring its 8th annual Rusyn Day Picnic, or Vatra, on Sept.15 from Noon to 8 pm. The Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual Fall Fish Sale is right around the corner! Getting Ahead Workshop

Getting Ahead is a 10-week workshop series where participants work in groups to examine the impact of poverty on themselves and their communities and to explore the world through the lens of economic class. This class is ideal both for individuals who are working to transition from poverty to self-stability or middle-class individuals that want to better serve their community. NGCC Spaghetti Dinner

The First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Ravenna is hosting their annual craft show on Saturday, September 29, from 9 am to 3 pm at 420 S. Prospect St in Ravenna. There will be a variety of vendors attending with soaps, jewelry, quilts, Avon, Tupperware, gift boxes, and many other types of crafts all at reasonable prices. There will be a bake sale and a lunch counter that will offer delicious food items for lunch and snacking. A raffle will be held with gifts donated by all the vendors at 2:45 pm. Nature Break: Women’s Retreat

The 64th Annual Apple Butter Festival comes to Century Village Museum Oct. 13 and 14. This year, for the first time, fans of this Geauga County tradition will be able to compete for the titles of festival King and Queen.
