Newton Falls – Congratulations to Boy Scout Troop 112 of Newton Falls, Ohio for Winning the 2013 Winter Events Catapult Event at Camp Stambaugh in Canfield!

Every year Boy Scout Troops from all over the Greater Western Reserve Council gather to test the skills they have learned.  First, patrols must build a sled made of wood and lashed together using rope or twine.  This event is timed and helps the boys learn to work together as a team.  Other Events include, fire building, first aide, dutch oven cooking, Alaskan pipeline, tomahawk throwing, and finally the catapult.  All events are about working together and utilizing the skills the boys have learned through out the year.  Troop 112 meets every Tuesday evening at 6:30 next to the Amvets in Newton Falls.  For more information on Troop 112 call Trish 330-507-3886 or email troop112@yahoo.com.  For more information on a troop closer to you call the Greater Western Reserve Council at 1-800-234-7268.
