Sugar Bush Golf Classic to be held on May 22

Garrettsville – On Wed., May 22, golfers will hit the links in support of people with developmental disabilities in the 27th annual Sugar Bush Golf Classic at the Sugar Bush Golf Club in Garrettsville, Ohio.  This annual tournament has become a spring tradition and always draws golfers of all ages and abilities, as well as several local celebrities.  This year’s special guests include Bill Wills, co-host of WTAM 1100’s Wills and Snyder, and Bob DiBiasio, vice president of public relations for the Cleveland Indians.  Morning and afternoon tee times are available.  The morning round begins with registration and continental breakfast at 6:45 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m.  Registration and lunch will commence the afternoon schedule at 12:30 p.m., followed by a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m.   The morning golfers will be treated to an awards lunch at 1 p.m. and the afternoon players will enjoy an awards dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Tournament participants can enhance their experience by adding the Golfer’s Play Package to their round for an additional $25.  The package entitles golfers to two mulligans, two chances to Hit the Circle on a par 3 hole, one chance to Guess Your Drive, entry into the putting contest and two celebrity shots.

The Sugar Bush Golf Classic will also feature a raffle with a grand prize of $1,500.  Raffle tickets are available for $10 each or 3 for $25.

Single golfer registration for the tournament is $125, and team registration for a group of four is $500. The deadline to register is May 14, 2013.  All proceeds benefit the people with developmental disabilities which Hattie Larlham serves.

The Middlefield Banking Company returns as the presenting sponsor of the tournament.  Other sponsors include the Sugar Bush Golf Club, Cleveland Indians Charities, Printing Concepts, the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2436, PNC Bank and Brouse McDowell.
