Rev. James D. Angle, 86 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Thursday September 22, 2016 at his residence in Aurora. Rev. Angle was God’s Gift to Us on May 19, 1930 in Meadow Bluff, West Virginia the son of the late Lancy and Lucy (Moore) Angle. A resident of Aurora the past 57 years, Rev. Angle was the founding minister of the Mentor Country Baptist Church, where as pastor for 38 years, he and his late wife Marcene worked side by side in the ministry of their church that included singing together the music of our Lord. A man who was truly devoted to God, his love of music and instrumental skills with his guitar were shown as a member of the Angle Bros. Quartet Gospel Group. While fishing, travel with Marcene, and music were pleasures  that he enjoyed, Rev. Angle’s love of family will forever be cherished by those who mourn his passing. During the Korean Conflict he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Rev. Angle was also employed as a lineman for over 40 years until his retirement from Alltel. On October 6, 1952, he married his beloved wife Marcene Angle who preceded him in death on February 11, 2014. Also preceding him were his brothers Joseph, Lancy and Jesse Angle, and sister May Holcomb.He is survived by his devoted daughter Trish, and loving son-in-law Bob Kuchta of Bainbridge Township who together cared for Dad with love and compassion for all of his years, his dear  brothers Jack (Diane) Angle and John (Joyce) Angle both of Ravenna and dear sisters Betty Nutter and Judy (Terry) Tyler both of Aurora and Julie (Roger) Salisbury of Mantua, as well as many other loving nephews, nieces and family members.

Calling hours were  Monday September 26, 2016 from 6:00 P.M.-7:30 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44 (S. of Rt. 422) Mantua, Ohio 44255, where his funeral service began at 7:30 P.M.Officiating were  his nephews Rev. Tom Tyler and Rev. Matt Angle. A graveside committal was held on Tuesday September 27, 2016, 10:00 A.M. at Westlawn Cemetery, St.Rt. 82 Mantua Township, Ohio.
