Ralph V. Brookover of Windham Township, OH

879

Ralph V. Brookover, 83, of Windham Township entered into his eternal rest on March 8, 2018 with his loving family at his side. He was born to Lawrence and Lena (Shook) Brookover on May 3, 1934 in Hiram Ohio. When Ralph was 10 days old his mother passed away suddenly; his father was fortunate to find love again and married Evelyn Shook, who then became Ralph’s loving mother.

Ralph served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Sprint in 1996 after 38 years of service doing installation and repair of telephone systems, primarily working in Newton Falls. He was a 60 year member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Garrettsville.

He loved to “harass” people (that is how you knew he liked you), enjoyed camping and traveling with his family and doing crafts and woodworking with his wife. He ADORED his wife Agnes and they were blessed with 44 years of happy marriage together. He missed her so much when she passed in 2003, and they are now happily reunited.

Ralph will be deeply missed by the children he cherished, Matthew (Beverly), Joseph (Tracie), David (Shelly) Brookover and Theresa (Tom) Schindler. He greatly loved his grandchildren Natalie (Mike), Jacob, Joe Jr., Julia, Jason, Bryant (Elizabeth), McKayla Brookover, Tommy and Hannah Schindler; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Agnes; siblings Robert Brookover, Elaine Burns and Margaret Thrasher and his beloved granddaughter Stephanie Brookover.
Visitation was held on Tuesday March 13, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday March 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church Freedom St. Garrettsville, OH 44231. Burial followed at Windham Township Cemetery.
