“Peter Pan” Captivates Crestwood Crowd

Mantua – This past weekend, there was no need to travel as far as, “second star to the right and straight on till morning,” to visit Neverland, Captain Hook’s pirate ship, or the Darling children’s nursery.  Audiences were easily transported there on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as the Crestwood High School Drama Club presented a musical adaptation of “Peter Pan.”

Audiences were spellbound as Peter (Brian Ferguson) gave flight to Wendy (Allyssa Swan), John (Cole Kramer) and Michael Darling (Hannah Hilty), guiding them to Neverland. The crowd cheered as Peter rescued Tiger Lily, the Indian Princess (Desirae Day), and with the lost boys, defeated Captain Hook (Nathan Palotto), and his band of swashbuckling pirates. The lively show took place on stage and throughout the gymnasium, as the band of performers, as well as the Pit Band, directed by Ashley Martin, kept the momentum high.

On Sunday, attendees had the option of attending the Peter Pan-cake brunch, prior to Sunday’s matinee performance, where guests could dine and meet the cast prior to the afternoon performance.
