Hiram – Mantaline Corporation, a fixture in Mantua for 50-plus years, has recently opened a new facility in Hiram.  The new facility is called the Thermoplastic Extrusion and Injection Molding Innovation Center; this state-of-the-art facility allows Mantaline to blend a whole new set of materials with state-of-the-art processing techniques.

At the new air-conditioned plant, thermoplastic materials can be formed in a wide variety of processes, color-matching, and recyclability. Mantaline newest facility in Hiram is located about 15 minutes from the company’s headquarters in Mantua. In addition, the new building is located on an eight-acre site, which provides for expansion as customer needs arise.

Mantaline is major supplier to the global commercial vehicle market and the automotive industry, supplying components for companies including Freightliner, Honda, Toyota, and Mercedes. The company boasts 175 employee-owners across Mantaline’s four companies in Mantua, OH; San Antonio, TX; Monterey, Mexico; and the newest facility in Hiram.

Throughout the ribbon-cutting event, employees were proud to show visitors what they do. From the engineers who set up the line to the workers who run it, each employee talked like they own the business. In fact, quipped Mantaline Vice President of Business Development Thomas Mlinar, “When we give tours to potential customers, our associates are proud to show off their company. In fact, they’re not shy about asking who customers are and why they’ve chosen to do business with Mantaline,” he added. “Employee ownership is a big deal; it differentiates us.”

“We’re glad to be in Hiram — everyone has been great to work with,” shared Mantaline President & CEO Mark Trushel. The facility provides an excellent opportunity to grow alongside our customers, and the location, near State Route 422 is ideal,” Trushel added. The newly opened facility will operate one tri-extrusion line during first and second shifts, with the ability to add lines as customer demand increases. The current facility has capacity to add up to six lines.

Hiram Mayor Lou Bertrand was pleased to welcome the world-class business to Hiram. Along with Village Council President Tom Wadkins, Mayor Bertrand represented the village at the ribbon-cutting event of the 30,000 square foot facility. “We’re pleased to welcome Mantaline to Hiram,” shared the Mayor. “We’re glad that as their business continues to grow, this spacious building can grow with them.”

Mantaline Corporation is an employee-owned, world-class leader of precision molded and extruded components for a variety of industrial markets.
