Garrettsville – Are you a couple looking for a unique venue for your wedding? Get married on Valentine’s Day at the Garrettsville Library, a branch of the Portage County District Library. Weddings conducted at the Garrettsville Library will be simple civil ceremonies conducted by a state licensed officiant. The marriages will be legal and completely free.
As part of the free wedding ceremony, couples can invite up to 20 guests, have a library staff member take photos (email required so the photos can be sent to you), and enjoy light refreshments after the ceremony.
Sign up starts January 3 and will run until February 1. Interested couples should come to the Garrettsville Branch Library to sign up and get a checklist of the required documentation for their wedding. Marriage licenses must be obtained by the couple and returned to the library by February 7.
To sign up, go to the reference desk at the Garrettsville branch library. The Library is located at 10482 South St. Garrettsville, OH 44231. Library hours are Monday and Tuesday, 11:00am – 7:00pm; Wednesday and Friday, 10:00pm – 6:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am– 5:00pm; and closed Thursdays and Sundays.
