Garrettsville – Garrettsville Summerfest will be held June 26-28th and will once again have an array of music that will satisfy most music lovers. The event of the summer boasts three stages of music playing throughout the entire weekend.

Friday night, will kick off the event with Blue Siren, Boys are Back and Pop Culture. Each band plays a different genre of music. Blue Siren features local artist Avonlea Wensel, along with Rick Seidle, Randy Stan, Jen Carey and Jimmy Stafford. They play a variety of music including country, pop and rock. The Boys are Back also a local group, play classic rock. Pop Culture will present their “Dirty Little Rock Star Show”.  The band is comprised of Chaz Amrose, Michael Mikulski, and Mike Trivison have played at many area festivals. They play rock and roll music.

Saturday, the day will have gospel music, rock, big band, classic rock, country, and rock- n-roll.

Early in the day, one will hear a variety of gospel music on the north stage. Early afternoon, Arrowhead will perform on the main stage. Arrowhead plays classic rock.

On the west stage, one can be ushered back to the big band era and hear the sounds from the Garretttones, a local group that features big-band-style music.  In the evening, Dennis Chandler and the Strataphonics will entertain folks at the car cruise. He plays classic rock.  On the main stage, Straight On, a Heart Tribute Band will perform. They will be followed by Disco Inferno which is known for their dance music and has been influenced by bands such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Bee Gees, KC and the Sunshine Band, ABBA, Tramps, and Wild Cherry. On the north stage, Fort Huntsburg Band will perform classic country, with a little R&B, along with a little swing, old rock and roll and an occasional polka or two. For  Pink Floyd lovers, Floyd, a Pink Floyd Tribute Band will be performing on the west stage.

Sunday starts off with the Gospel Wonders on the north stage.  Recess will take the main stage in the afternoon.  Recess is a teen rock band that has been influenced by Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry, One Republic, and many other pop artists.  They will appeal to all ages. The evening will feature Garrettsville Idol contestants vying to become the next Garrettsville Idol. This will feature vocalists using music from a variety of genres as the performers choose music to their liking. One can expect to hear show tunes, country and some pop. It will be an event to remember.
