Food & Wine

I’ve mentioned a couple of times how I love the local food trucks… from Hodge Podge (who helped put the Cleveland Food Trucks on the map in Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race) to Sweet! The Mobile Cupcakery (yes, they only sell some of the greatest cupcakes) to Cracked Mobile that specializes in breakfast.
While Cleveland has some amazing food trucks we were honored in May to be announcing a new food truck to hit our area! The Rolling Pig started rolling the end of May with a fantastic fundraiser at the winery. And while they hit a few road blocks and even a couple of potholes The Rolling Pig is rolling back to the winery a few more times before the winter’s weather rolls in!
Serving a variety of sandwiches from pulled pork to brisket to smoked turkey your taste buds will be amazed. Or try their Pork Stuffed Baked Potato or one of their sides like mac n cheese, slaw or baked beans. But make sure you leave room for dessert – their Maple Bacon Cupcake is the best! The menu is subject to change so be sure to like Candlelight Winery and The Rolling Pig on Facebook to get the latest update!
The Rolling Pig will be set up outside the winery starting at 6pm on Saturday, October 20th for you to purchase an option from their menu. Reservations are not needed but I recommend you arrive early to make sure you have enough time to try everything on the menu! Prices range from $2 for dessert to $7 for a sandwich.
And of course, while you are enjoying the fantastic flavors from The Rolling Pig we’ll be serving plenty of wine inside the winery. I highly recommend sampling a bottle of Riesling with the stuffed potatoes or washing down the pulled pork sandwich with my favorite, our Sangiovese.
Plus stick around for live music from Denny & McKay, an acoustic duo specializing in the Eagles, Beatles, Chicago and even a little Sinatra. So make plans now to come out and enjoy some great gourmet food served out of the areas latest trend while enjoying wine and music.
