Family Fun in Focus at the FEST

If you’ve wanted to share an outdoor concert with your kids, but worry about what else you might expose them to at many local concert venues, think about joining the family fun at The FEST. On August 4th, at this free family festival, you and your kids can enjoy concerts by Casting Crowns, Jamie Grace, Matt Maher and For King & Country Christian bands. From noon until 6 pm, you’ll enjoy a full day of music and family activities. At 8 pm, there will be an outdoor mass, and as night falls, the sky will be ablaze with an incredible fireworks display to close out the day at 10 pm.
The FEST, hosted by the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, began in August of 2000, where fewer than 5,000 people attended. Last year, just twelve years later, attendance reached 35,000. In addition to live music, highlights include a BMX show, games, and over 100 activity tents featuring helpful information, and giveaways.
Moms will get some special attention, too, in the Mom’s Relaxation Station, which will feature more than 120,000 freebies and product samples, gift basket raffles, free chair massages and makeovers. This special area is presented by MARC’S and 95.5 The FISH, and gives moms a great place to get organized and ready for the new school year, with over 120,000 giveaways, presentations and helpful tips for home and family.
The gates will open at noon, with concerts spread throughout the day. Admission is free, and families are free to bring blankets, chairs and coolers. A wide selection of food vendors will be on hand, as well. Parking is easily accessible, with shuttle buses providing quick access to the festival grounds.
The FEST takes place on Sunday, August 4th, and runs from noon until 10 p.m. This free, one-day family festival is held at the Center for Pastoral Leadership at 28700 Euclid Avenue in Wickliffe, OH. For more information visit: www.theFEST.us
